Turnigy 9x v2 transceiver used inside DEVO 7E

History:
Took out the A7105 module from a Xieda 9998 controller. It does not have a power amplifier. I attached to my Devo 7E.
It worked just fine and i could bind and fly.
The problem was the range. I only had 7-10 meters of range.
That's not acceptable at all.

Context:
I have a Turnigy 9x v2 module. The one with the antenna going inside the transmitter. Some months ago i cut the antenna and replaced the module with flysky 9x module, with an external antenna.

Question:
Now i disassembled the Turnigy 9x v2 module. I removed the button and only kept the "transmitter/transceiver". How can i connect this instead of the worthless A7105 module i already have?

I have attached some pictures to demonstrate.
One other thing i noticed. The transceiver uses 5 volts and the one you can order online uses 3.3 volts!!

I tried to find the pinout for the transceiver to no avail.

Any help on this subject will be appreciated :0)

Look at this....

www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2067079

It is a conversion for an Atmel, but if you remove the mcu inside,
you may use of the SPI bus. ( all 3.3V inside, no need for 5V anymore.)

I have this modul too, but may have bricked the mcu by the level of
the PPM Signal from the TX I tested first....
The FC18 V3.3 plus would have done it, but it is to late now, only autobinding now.
A project for wintertime.

EDIT:
The transciever uses 3.3V, so if powered by Devo, the 3.3V regulator
inside is needless too. Devo VCC put to the regulator output pad
will power up this modul.

Awesome... at least i now have the pin tags.

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "remove the mcu inside, you may use of the SPI bus" ?

Thx in advance

Your modul is controlled by PPM. Inside, this is converted to SPI signals
by an mcu.
Did you have a look at the pictures in this rcgroup post?
Here this device is allready removed. If not, you can only use this modul
with the DSC port and PPM out. You will have to power it with an accu.

But I think, that is not the way you will use it.... ;)

Take the shield off and trace the lines, then you will see what is required.
I think you will at least have to deactived the integrated mcu.
But take into mind, Devo is powered with 3.3V and this modul originally by 5V.
