Devo 10 Gimbal issue was created by Jman841
I am having issues with the gimbals on my Devo 10 not going back to 0% input when not touching the sticks. I have tried recalibrating it multiple times and when doing precise movements one of the inputs, rudder, elevator, or aileron always ends up being at 1% when I am off the sticks.

Is anyone else having this issue? I am assuming it is a hardware issue. Is there any better gimbals/sticks for the Devo 10?

I am considering switching over to Taranis or one of the Opentx controllers due to the low hardware quality of the Devo's. If I can get them to center properly every time I would be completely happy with the Devo 10.

I am only getting about 1% error, should I go with the first method with the metal tape or try the tightening of the screws first?

Also, where can the metal tape be purchased? I do not have any.

Thanks for the reply!

So I did the foil tape method, I didn't do the second one because I was afraid to take off all the springs to get to those screws.

Unfortunately the foil did not solve my issue. It still will give me -1 or 1% when I make small adjustments then let off the sticks.

I guess I will have to try the bearing tightening method some time.

How do you get the gimbals apart to that point?

Is it difficult to get the springs back on?

So I ripped it all apart and figured out the problem. Neither of the posted solutions were the problem with mine.

For some silly reason, walkera cheaped out on the plates used to center the sticks. There are 2 metal bars that push on a plastic beam that the spring attaches to. The Metal bars created a divot in the plastic beam and that is causing it to not reset to center perfectly. I can not believe they cheaped out on this part. If they simply put a small metal bar there it would last forever.

I will break it open again to fix the other stick soon and will post pictures of the issue.

However, are there any different sticks available that fit the Devo 10? Are the sticks on the Devo 10 or 8s different? Maybe higher quality? If so, are they replaceable with the Devo 10's?
