7e Lost plane, same fate if I use 10? was created by flyberd
I got a 7e I was using to test out this program. I lost control of the plane probably 50-75 feet away from me. I ended up losing the plane in soybeans
. It was a small fox glider with DSM2 Rx. If I put this on my Devo 10 am I destined to the same fate? I really had high hopes for the program now I am scared to try again on my more expensive birds.

Without the "diode mod", the 7E have a limited power for DSM2/DMSX protocol. The Devo 10 and > don't have this hardware limitation

Only...75 feet distance? Even without " diode mod" that should not happen.
What RX are you using? Orange RX ? Brownout with a build in mini RX?
What transmission power did you use?
And did point at the model with the TX ( antenna) at that time?
The antenna is the only weak part of that TX, because it could be aligned to its best RF emmision.

I've had my quadcopter with a 7e with the range mod, using an orange DSMX receiver, at 980 ft (at 160 ft height) and also 850 ft height (about 160 ft away from me) without issue.

But I assume this one is original.
Before I was doing the diode mod, I have tested the 7e with a SuperCP against A7105-D03 and a V911.
Both with were set to minimum transmission power (100 µW)
At 16 meter I lost binding with the SuperCP, holding the TX sideways it rebind immediately.
With the A7105-D03 the direction did not matter at that distance.( build in /antenna 90 degree to front)
EDIT:...sorry guys, looking at my notes, I did the this test after the mod.

Any chance you had your TX power set really low? 75 feet is really short range, even for an unmodded 7E.
