Hello Guys, Ive been off here for quite a while and picked up my transmitter again, and Ive still got it woohooo.
My MSR is dead have no idea what is wrong with it so looking at getting a 4 ch Syma F3. I am also looking at the 6 ch WL v933.
Do I require the module modification to have these two helis work. Ive a Walkera 6S.
And which modules would I need.

The V933 would need the NRF24L01 module. It's the same heli as the Hisky HCP80, which you can sometimes get a little cheaper.

Cool. I have seen a HiSky external module that plugs into the training port of the TX. Will this work with deviation?

It will. You just need to set the protocol to PPM, and then you're ready to go.
The internal module gives you a lot more flexibility for future models though. You wouldn't be limited to just Hisky. Here is the mostly current list of models (It's missing a few that are supported), and their required modules:
