Simple way to reorder models was created by MakDaddy
On my Devo 10 (4.01) I have grown in the amount of models I have. I would like to reorder them in groups to Planes, Helis, quads, etc.
Besides trying to figure out which model is in what order and renumbering the ini files, is there an easier way?
In the model screen there is:
Load
Copy to
Template
Reset.
Is there a way to add "Move"?
Maybe I am looking at this wrong. Did not see anything in the manual.

i was thinking the exact same thing the other night when i was putting back up copies at the end of the model list and i had to copy and reset then copy again and reset ect...i thought why not have a "move to" added to this...??

maybe somebody will add it the the request and it will some day be a reality..:)

Maybe somebody with the username magic_marty?

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

I would like if the models would show the actual names when hooked to the computer instead of model1 model2 model3 ect...

I believe that Deviation was sort of based off of ER9x. It has the feature to move.
I wonder if one of these code guru's could implement this?

Can you share the source code?

Looked in to this a bit. Windows XP and earlier had a straightforward way to add support for custom columns to windows explorer. In Vista and beyond it was replaced with a more complicated and less capable method. It could still be done...needs a windows coder :)

On linux I use 'grep -a name *ini'.

Deviation supports Copy To. Click R on the File button. Move wouldn't make sense because model files are never deleted.

Can reorder fairly quickly if you're good at sliding puzzles :)
