a7105-d03b, TXEN and RXEN questions was created by avroarrow4ever
Hi all, as the parts for my Devo 10 are slowing arriving from China, I have a few questions about the A7105-D03B module. Is it pretty much the same as the A7105-D03? I ordered the D03, but received the D03B, so I am assuming it is just an updated version. Is there anything special in Deviation I should be aware of for this?

I also have some questions about wiring.
1)Do I still need to tie pins 6-9 and 7-8?
2)All the wiring diagrams I have seen suggest that I tie TXEN high, and RXEN low. Doing so will disable two way communication. Are there any new updates for this?

The back of the A7105 module shows that TXEN needs to go low and RXEN go high for the RX function to work, which would mean that TXEN and RXEN would need different lines than VCC and GND. There was another post I read where VLAD_VY tied GIO1 to TXEN and GIO2 to RXEN, but had some loss of control issues and wired it back to normal.

I would like to use the Flysky FS-ia6/ Turnigy TR-ia6 RX and various telemetry modules.

Any thoughts/info on this? Maybe something in future updates?

Thanks.

Michael

Wiring depends still on your version of Deviation.
...6<>9, 7<>8 is for the nightly only, not for 4.0.1
The other wiring works on both, but is an early hack for the D03 and will let the module draw current even if the cyrf is selected.

May work on the devo10, but for e.g. 7e it is a no go, because the 3.3V regulator is only for 250mA constant (peak 300mA) power supply.

If you want to know more about this, try the board search.

Hi aMax, I have the white Devo 10 with a main board that has a "0.8A" sticker on it. Not sure if this is a board rev, or 800mA. I am using the nightly builds as well. I have (not installed yet) the XL7105 and CC2500 modules.

I am slowly going through various posts here and on various other websites. There is a lot of info out there about Deviation! The problem is that some of it contradicts other posts. I have to say though, the modding/hacking aspect of this is enjoyable.

I hope the remainder of my items will arrive soon from China. Funny, I ordered them all at the same time from the same place. All well....

...0.8A is the version of your dfu file (lib).
If your are with the nightly, take the new wiring for the 7105 module, otherwise
this module could not be completely powered down (VCC > tx).
With cyrf selected at 1mW, my whole Devo7e draw 201mA, at 100mW(150mW) nearly 262mA.

The problem with these infos is, one developed the hack, spread it
and others only copied it and never updated the information or even mixed them up.
Much crap on the web.........it often takes me days to collect, compaire and
check information.
Take your time and do it right. Most hip shooting guys we will meet here again.....

Hi, time is something I definitely plan on taking. If I can just verify the new wiring, TXEN to GIO1 only, RXEN to GIO2 only, correct?

Thanks again.
