Hi,

I just received my DEVO 7E, and this is obviously a newbie question (and maybe off-topic) but how do you remove the power pack from it?

I know the compartment is at the bottom, but I've been pulling on the red+black wires trying to get the red connector out but I can't get the red connector pulled out, and I don't want to break it since I just got it, so I figured I'd ask.

My apologies, but I hope that someone who has a 7E can let me know?

Thanks,
Jim

Sorry for the panic!

I got the red connector out.

I found this:

www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=28381977&postcount=1336

which confirmed that that red connector is not easy to get out.

I didn't want to rip the wires out, so I used a pair of needle nose pliers and grabbed the connector and pulled and it came out fairly easily that way.

I think I'm going to be looking for one of those lipo replacements for the battery pack as I certainly prefer not to have to do this in the future.

Thanks,
Jim

I bought NiMH batteries. You can charge those without taking them out.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

Hi,

Thanks. Can you tell me which power adapter you're using for that?

Any 9V-12V power adapter with the right plug (and central positive) will work. 9V is safer than 12V (due to the 7806 converter used), but you can use 12V without problems if you already have one. If you are buying a power supply, buy a 9V one

I found a couple of different ones like:

but decided to go with the one from Walkera supply:

walkerahelicoptersupply.com/products/plu...-charger-for-devo-tx

The charger only is $14.95 + shipping ($5+ for me).
