				Hi everyone,
I have installed a NRF24L01 module on my Devo 8S and hardly ever I use it with models that make use of main transmitter module, I mean the one who has the original antenna attached on top. Is it necessary to plug-in that antenna to the Devo transmitter in those cases? in other words, Does the transmitter activate the main internal module when I am using just the NRF24L01? As you know, this module has its own antenna, I want to be sure of that to avoid any damage...
Thank you.

At least at power on the CYRF is aktiv....and if you go to menu and select an empty modell file, the module is selected as well ( standart)
You may risk your pa in long-term.
Edit: Get a dummy load for the module not in use.

Hi aMax, sorry but I don't know exaclty what you mean with "dummy load". Where can I purchase it? May be is something like this?
www.banggood.com/SMA-Male-RF-Coaxial-Ter...50-Ohm-p-927353.html
Thank you.
EDIT: I found the answer here .
"How does a dummy load work? It's just a big dumb resistor, non-inductive so that the load is 100% resistive. Essentially, it works by converting nearly all of the transmitter's power to heat instead of radiating it as electromagnetic radiation."
I think then the "dummy load" of BG could be useful but I am not really sure if 50Ohm is OK or may be I need 75Ohm, it seems to be 50Ohm but not sure.

Attention, these from BG will not fit your antenna sockets, they are SMA. Seach on ebay some RP-SMA loads.
I build some on my own from connectors that have been left after antenna mods.
These 50 Ohms are standart.

I will check this afternoon on my transmitter and antenna but I found this....
www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...h-gain-antenna#11860
Another user said the Devo8S antenna has a SMA Male, so the one BG is selling. But I will not order anything until I check.
Thank you aMax.

Hi, Yesterday I checked the type of connector the Devo8s has and the guy from this post is right:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...h-gain-antenna#11860
Here is a picture I took yesterday:
So the one is selling BG is valid for this transmitter.
Cheers!
