Devo F12E 20dB was created by Blisk
I have Devo F12E with firmware 1.6B
That means it is locked on 10mW.
I have tried to upload firmware 1.6A but after uploading it says wrong firmware.
Is it possible to unlock 20dB power on devo F12E or there is a differend hardware in it so it is not possible?

Usually they have the same hardware, it is only a software limitation in the bootloader.
If you install deviation, you can use it at full power...

I see in settings that, there is 20dB but can't select it
which one to install? for devo F12E?
Why original firmware doesn't work?

Where do you live? Europe?
Probably your TX is locked down where you bought it from?

I know it is locked because I bought it in Germany.
Question is how can I unlock it. Is it hardware or just software.
Yesterday I have opened two TX one TX5811 and one TX5810.
And as I see difference is only in one shortage. I did 't tested yet but I will.
I hope F12E is only software locked

So where are you now located? Still DE/EU?
Makes IMHO no sense at all to fly
DEVO (3 channel DSSS) as a non true FHSS >10mw
with new ETSI 1.8.1 starting 01.01.2015 in Europe
Would be better to switch to DSmx (>=15CH FHSS) @ 100mW.
Well there is none confirmation of conformity for that class @100mW from Walkera/DE-distributor, right? So probably that makes no sense too...but still a little bit better than DSM2 or DEVO DSSS protocols
My 2cents

You shall switch in Europe from DEVO to Spektrum DSMx protocol if you are going to install DeviationTX firmware.
Especially if you want to fly with >10mW output power (like DSMx@100mW).

You always look at this from the regulations pont of view, and forget that.from the technical point of view the DEVO protocol is a rock solid rc system with longer effective range then DSMX.
I don't think that it has more risk in Europe, then in other countries, where it is legal...

regulations in my country about that are still not in law.
And if there will be soon, that is in few years, I can still use it in neighbour country where that regulations wont be in law for nex 20 years.
I thought to change my devo E12F with someone in Germany where regulations are strict and have enabled 20dB, my E12F is new out of the box

Interesting! Thanks for letting me know that FDR.
Then it would make sense to fly the Walkera F210 quad (3+2mm bottom frame plates) quad just on the DEVO protocol for better range
