Yup I am also still interested in the info on power circuitry of my 7e, as indeed it is a bit of vague power system, I not really understand it....
Anyway I still have in my mind to put someday two place 2 Panasonic 18650 cells in parallel (it is feasible it fits I tested it, minor mod of plastics and can still fit back the original 4 cell battery holder)
www.banggood.com/2PCS-NCR-3400mAH-18650-...Battery-p-87078.html
Then connect an usb lion charge module such as this one, it even protects the battery from discharge etc.
www.banggood.com/USB-Lithium-Battery-Cha...ection-p-924048.html
Connect the usb +- of module to the +- of usb of the devo 7e. (and or the charge jack)
The polulo step up / down switcher, safely works at wide range and will always provide 3v3 even from way under discharged lipo.
So only things to find out;
Keep the power 2 seconds on after switch off. (switch off delay)
Connect the sense line and resistor devider to measure the pack voltage.
Were to connect the power?
-Would give huge runtimes.
-Give stable voltage always. Get rid of this small fluctuations at Tx voltage.
-Easy charge using any usb 5v charger etc.
-Reliable monitoring of Pack voltage empty bat alarm. NIMH etc, for some reason I never really trust, never sure how much is left, sudenly they are empty, they are not so nice to monitor as with lion/lipo voltage drop.

Any progress on this mod? I was thinking the same thing with 18650s + USB charging module wired to USB port. Seems possible knowing that you guys found the rf module is 3.3v. Whats the voltage of the main board and ghost regulator/backlight/lcd?

To check if voltage regulator is working you should connect pads in rectangle with label "Jumper", it will bypass "Power On" switch and electronic power on switch. And replace MOSFET connected to it. At the right part of the diagram.

I've tried, & devo shows the LED indicator is on. however the LCD display does not.
then I tried to feel the components of the power regulator felt hot.
is that normal or signs not good?
Please help.

I found a voltage of 3.3V, even then when the C4 100uF was released. if not I only get 1.2V.
& I didn't get 5V on the vtx socket but only 3.3V, but there was a 6.1V voltage on the BST pin
whether the problem is in c4 100uf.

Can you try different 100uF capacitor? I think MP1584 can output 5V, then used LP2981AIM5-3.3 (L04A) to get 3.3V.

I have tried with capacitor 104. but the conditions remain the same as the default capacitor, the temperature of LP2981AIM5-3.3 (L04A) is very hot. & if I loose all capacitors like normal
but the voltage is less than 3.3V & doesn't get 5V.

Can you desolder and check Schottky Rectifier SS14? Is it good? If so, solder it back.

Tidak ada masalah dengan Schottky Rectifier SS14, bahkan saya sudah menggantinya.

Is there another solution to fix my F12E by making a separate power regulator without the existing power regulator on the board.
if there is, please info & help me

First check you can use transmitter and you have not other burned components. You can try to desolder the inductance (round, 150) and connect external 5V to electrolytic capacitor. Before connect 5V, check that this point connected to VTX 5V. If transmitter will work, I think you need replace MP1584, most likely it damaged.

I have replaced Mp1584 too. but still there is no change.
is there an output voltage size determined by MP1584 on SW, BST, EN, COMP & FR pins after being given a 7.4V voltage on the VIN pin.

In that case something wrong with external components: inductance (round, 150), Schottky diode (SS14), electrolytic capacitor or something else (LDO 3.3V or adjacent LDO unknown V). Output voltage specified by R1 and R2 to FB (Feedback Voltage = 0.8V) on MP1584 diagram.
If you can, try to cut trace from the electrolytic capacitor and resistors to next components (LDO). Near the point with empty place for resistor. And disconnect VTX and RF module.

Yes, like this.
OK, it seems MP1584 is good, but something else is bad. Have you connected VTX and RF module? Check 5V voltage to VTX and RF module.
