Problem binding Flysky with Devo 10 was created by steadfast4life
I have the A710 wired with pins 1 and 9 connected and 3 and 8 connected in the devo 10. I have also changed has pa_a7105 to 0 like a thread said to but my tx is still freezing up and I have to take out the battery to get it to shut off. Its frustrating. I'm trying to bind flysky FS-iA6B receivers. Please help!

Still have the freezing problem on flysky bind after connecting 6-9 and 7-8. Any other ideas? BTW, I've checked all the solder connections. They are pristine without crossovers. No cold joints.

I have the same module, binds to FS-IA6B, without problems.
I have a Devo 7e.
No idea.

You run a nightly build with AFHDS2A protocol ?

Im running the nightly deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-b289612. Does it have the AFHDS2A protocol? Which nightly are you running? Thanks for responding BTW.

I think you need a build from the AFHDS2A protocol thread, as it's still in test.

Look there : www.deviationtx.com/forum/protocol-devel...-it4?start=280#52547

Ok so I successfully downloaded the nightly for AFHDS2A and it works without bugging up my devo 10. When i try to flash the FS-Ia6B it no longer crashed the tx but simply wont bind. Ive tried a few of these receivers with the same result. Maybe I'm binding wrong. Bind plug in B/VCC and 5V into PPM/CH1. Power up, led rapidly flashed then bind with AFHDS2A protocol selected. Are there any other steps I've missed?

Thanks for your replies. I think I figured out the problem. After uploading FW, I didn't reassign the modules to A13 and A14. But unfortunately I think I bricked it by accidentally interupting a FW downgrade. Now I have to attempt to flash the bootloader. Thanks again for helping.

Hi, steadfast4life.
Can you tell me which download contains AFHDS2A? I have iA6C from Turnigy and Devo 10 TX. Any trick to upload to Devo 10? Appreciate your help in advance.

@wetlander
You do have an A7105 module installed right?

I do not have A7105 module installed. So far, installing such kind of modules is beyond my capability. I am just a newbie. However, I was able to find the update link. After I upgraded my Devo 10 firmware to this: deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-685f7e5, AFHDS2A is there in my Devo 10! Happy me ><

I hope it works for you. If the protocol has a "*" (asterisk) in front if it (e.g. *Flysky, or *AFHDS2A), it won't load because it needs the A7105 radio module.

That is crude to me. There is * in front of the afhds2a!! Is there anyone tell me what receiver I should use to fly my ARF Spedix. I had RX1002; using the PWM mode, which you can tell from the LibrePilot, the moving of the transmitter sticks is quite laggy! I thought the iA6C, which using digital interaction would help. Maybe some day, I will install the A7105 module to my Devo 10 then.

Unfortunately all protocols are dependent on the transmitter modules they are written for, so if you want Flysky protocols, they use the A7105. If you want to use the Devo without adding modules, you need to use a Walkera receiver (Devo protocols) or DSM receiver. I have an OrangeRX satellite RX (DSM) that works nicely on my Cleanflight quad.

The Flysky RX has nice features, and adding the A7105 isn't terribly difficult, but I understand your concerns (felt the same way when I did my first soldering on my Devo!).

Dude no way any receiver is gone a make a noticeable difference to you. s.bus vs. Parallel PWM is an argument for the very top level pilots, no one else can notice stuff like that...

Having said that, I too recently became interested in the AFHDS2A protocol and actually have high power A7105 modules and an ia6B receiver on the way to play with, adding modules is only about 6-8 wires to simple to access solder pads / via's

Thanks all buddies for your comments and suggestions. Getting into this RC and flying quadcopters hobby has been interesting and rewarding. Adding modules to my Devo 10 would not be long time away. Before that, I will look for OrangeRX receiver then. Cheers.
