Devo 7E drift in Betaflight Preview was created by joelones
I just installed the A7105 module and bound the Devo 7E with a FS-IA6B using ibus (kind of surprised I got this far!) I'm in the process of just testing the SP Racing F3 along with the receiver and Tx. After reversing yaw/roll in the Tx, everything seems to moving what it should in Betaflight under receivers.
I read in the cleanflight manual 1500 should be neutral and it should reach 1000 and 2000, I notice on idle I get about 1495-1497 for each roll/pitch/yaw and maximums go to about to 1992-1994, mins are 1000. The preview windows has the quad drifting.
Is there anything I do about this? Is there reason for concern? Or is it because I'm using a Devo 7E?

Calibrate the TX first, the mid should be around 1500 it should be stable. The top ends, you could scale up/down the endpoints a bit if needed, but it is not that important if endpoint are not spot on 1000-2000

I did calibrate the Devo prior. I can get at the subtrim menu and attempt to get it to 1500, but it's not stable, ie: roll/pitch/yaw jump from 1499 to 1500 - are constantly jumping.

Use the deadband function in Betaflight. That´s for it.
Edit: ... and calibrate the acc if you have not done this.

Thanks but I set the RC Deadband to 4 (2 times amount of movement), saved and no change.

The preview or the flight behavior? The FC will not use the stick movement info if it is in the range you have set.
With the Superexpo setup, there should be no need of a deadband setting, because all is quite flat at midstick.

...which fairly means, ..I haven´t read the Wiki..
Check the PID setup, there is a slider and reduce the RC Rate to get comfortable with your quad.
But I think , this is not the right place to discuss quad setups, there are better places and there is nothing what the Devo and Deviation
can do for you.( except scaling&subtrim)

I also have some jitter on my midpoint, I think it is the power supply of the devo 7e, it is worse on some protocols such as frsky at full power

Does the drift happen with the transmitter off? Slight drifting is normal due to gyro/ACC drift.

No drift when the Tx is off. However, I have yet to fly the quad, so I have no idea at the point if the jitter translates into unstable flight, I'm just going by what I see in the preview window.

Hi!
Have anybody a file model.ini to use in the Devo7E with FS-iA6B? I am doing a connection with AFHDS-2A through iBus, but all channels are wrong
.
Thanks!!
