Range Test and Recommended Power Level was created by mgilbert
I just finished building an Align 470LP (380 sized) helicopter. I used two Lemon DSMX satellites - one on the tail boom, and one hanging below the side. I have a white Devo 10 radio running Deviation 5.0.

What power level do pilots use with the Devo 10 for this size helicopter?

And, what kind of range should I see when using the 100 micro-Watt range test feature on the Devo 10?

Thanks...

If you stay close, lets say 100m then 10mw to 30mw should be more than enough.

For range test look for at least 30 paces. I usually get around 40 to 45 on mine with the standard 2dBi antenna in a location without wifi hotspots. In noisy locations you might get less.
