I just installed the dfplayer in t8sg v2 plus following the instructions in the wiki and everything worked fine. Recheck your file changes and voice.ini and SD card mp3 directory.

Pardon me but Im having similar issues.

I cant see my DFPlayer usb drive after I soldered it in, was worried I missed some pins.

I can only see my Transmitter usb drive. Not a separate one for the SD card. Is there anything you need to do other then format the card and have the mp3 folder on it?

The dfplayer doesn't show up as a drive. There's no circuitry for that. Some folks add a second usb connector wired directly to the dfplayer.

Load the files on the SD card with a PC.

Sweet baby Jesus it worked. Thank you so much!. Just is a file source.
Deleting the ; for uart5 and coping voice.ini into media folder on transmitter were the hard part.
This is a wonderful site.
