Avoid Punctuation in voice file text list. In particular file names with question marks won't extract from the zip file created.
I'm using Win XP if it makes any difference.

No, I don't know the default speed, I guess I will have to write a small script to find out. Also, the usable range seems to differ from voice to voice (for example Anna switches to default speed below 90, while Alex seems to go any rate fast or slow). BTW, there was a bug, the last build (36) didn't work, it should be fixed now, but you will have to submit again.

Concerning available voices, I depend on those which are provided by the Travis images on which voicepacks are built. I haven't found a command line to install additional voices in macos. Actually I just noticed that Travis updated its macos image, so he available voices have changed a bit from what is available in the voicepacker form, so I will have to take a deeper look at which images provide which voices.

If we use the same voice alerts just changing the speed can we just load the MP3 files to the SD card and not have to replace the voice.ini ? Just use the same one?

You have to load new voice.ini, because slower speech makes longer files, and the file lengths are defined in the ini

Thanks Moeder for all your efforts, works a treat!
After a few goes Samantha at 155 words per minute works ok for me.

Thanks Magic_Marty for the list, I copied it to a spreadsheet and alphabetized it, deleted some doubled up entries and others I don't use, added a few of my own, saved as a txt file for future use.

Moeder are you able to delete a couple of my entries please (54-58)? I'm experimenting and I don't want to spam the download page. Thanks

Sorry, I've spammed the building. Noticed an issue on telemetry alerts, custom alerts need to be similar or shorter than than the global telemetry alert time. Any longer and it won't play. Also, adding a comma to custom alerts may make it not play, just testing that now...

No worries. Voicepacker use is still very moderate. And I don't face any work with it, except that I enjoy users making use of it ;)
I will add automatic deletion of voicepacks after 3 days to not spam github and keep the downloads page tidy.
The comma problem is known, I will have to parse custom alerts to replace any commas with whitespaces.
The telemetry issue I never noticed, maybe this is the same what other users where complaining about in timers. I will have to look into it.

Thanks Moeder, I've just uploaded another one! :P Please feel free to delete all of mine. I'll have to upload one more as I've noticed a spelling mistake... Thanks for the packer, it really is great. Hopefully there'll be some new voices, I'm trying to find a nice female voice

On the "goodbye" shutdown issue, is it to do with the deviation software shutting down before it can trigger the sound file?

A small update as I started working on voice packer again: From now on all new builds will automatically receive a normalization post-processing so you should notice a little volume improvement when playing a new voice pack.

I did some major (backend) work on the voice packer. Besides the already mentioned normalization, I have now managed to enable the HQ text to speech voices available in OS X, so you should now have a very much improved voice quality! I ditched some "crazy/fun" languages though, as I don't think theres much use to doing that to a whole voice pack. Instead, some others have been added (@FDR: even Hungarian;) )

Feel free to experiment, the URL is still unchanged: Deviation Voicepacker

This service is awesome!
I just tried custom voices on my T8SG V2 plus..
It plays italian voices perfectly but... also all common english voices are played in italian (horribly).
Is there a way to have english voices read in english and custom voices read in custom language?

It would be an easy change, but as voicepacker use has been rather low, I refrained from putting more work into it. You can just create a pack with English voice and then replace the global alert mp3 files in your Italian set with the English ones.
