Devo 10 Icons

This making icons for the Devo 10 is making me tear my hair out. I have followed instructions for Gimp (I have 2., set resolution to 96x96, export
as bmp in A1R5G5B5.

Sometimes I get part of the icons displayed and sometime blank. I have tried many combos of width & height and cannot get an icon.

I also noticed most icons on this forum are gone also?

Made my own quad icon. Now i need someone with better artistic capabilities ..

I'm trying to do my own icon for jbug.

I find in the net a render of the plane and I need to make in black and white. How can I do this with gimp?

As with Photoshop (which I use), Gimp has a Threshold tool . This is what you're looking for. You might have to draw some outlines however, as your original image hasn't much contrast.
