Doesn't look like it, but did you have any luck with the lights or video/camera?

nop... just basic controls. Will try to see if the lights/video switch is done by further channels or some other ways..

discover something very strange today.. found the range very short, the copter lost control at very short distance.. nothing helps but set the binding to fixed ID (1111). The situtation can be repeatable... no ID, short range, fixed ID (1111) everything ok

anyone get an explaination?

What Deviation build do you use? Possible it fixed at experimental builds and will be fine at next stable release.

The V959 is a monster, its is definately only a 4 channel looking at the ppm signal, the other functions 4+ different ones, are done by using some sort of macro over the existing 4 channels. Its going to be fiddley to get it right - but the solution is going to have to be done in the tx programming itself similar to Hubsan. Looks like PB may get into it down the line, the quad is nice but with the stock tx its really wasted, its hard to fly it nice with the stock tx and take advantage of the features. Its a real shame WLToys and others dont pay attention to the forums and the major successors and WHY of the predecessor models (V911, V929) - its like they intentionally FCSK it up so you are forced to use the crummy tx. GRRR! I am at the point of creating a frankenTX with an old HKT6A to use the housing and those gimbals with some internals of the V959 tx, if I do I will post results here.

I have just checked in a fix (available in the nightlies) that allows mapping:
channel 5 => lights
channel 6 => camera
channel 7 => video
Unless you play around with virtual channels, you need to applyeach to a swithc and then turn the switch on AND off to toggle the state (thatis, you toggle a switch on and the light turns on. then you turn the switch off an dthe light stays on, then you turn the switch on again and the light ges off, and then off again and the light stays off.

You need to press the 'Flysky' protocol button and enable 'WLToys V9x9' to make this work.

I've had my 959 for a while now, but this is the 1st I played with it much. I really like the video capability. I can see why folks are so keen on FPV now, as I'd love to have a live feed rather than just a recording

I can´t press the Flysky button (it´s withe) and the next problem is,
that I can´t bind the V979.

what mistakes did I made? :(

Thanks for your help.

I just got mine in today but am having trouble setting up the lights and camera. I understand you bind chan 5 and 6 to a switch and turn it on/off to trigger, but I'm still having issues.. Can't seem to get the lights to trigger.

PB, can you find how implemented 'roll' function in V959? If press the Roll button, V959 can do flip. If press the Roll button once again, V959 do not flip.

Right now V959 can't do flip with any channels travel, up to 250% (Deviation).

Good news!! Got lights to work. Thanks NT72. Has anybody got the auto flip function to work? BTW my v959 board is a replacement for the v929 board that blew a motor fet. I bought lights and canopy from v959. Don't have any modules from v959 so can't test these.
