Hisky FBL-80cp On Devo 10 / HT8 was created by gordonzo
This is my Hisky FBL-80cp configuration for the Devo 10 w/HT8 module. I started with the 6ch Helicopter template but made a lot of changes. Flight modes are based on my skill level. Transition between modes is smooth.

Channel Reverse:
1. ELE - Nor
2. AIL - Nor
3. THR - Rev
4. Rud - Nor

Scale Expo

FMODE0 (Easy):

ELE 60 30
AIL 50 30
THR 100 - 7Point: -100/-70/-35/0/35/70/100
RUD 100 -
COL 75 - 7Point: -30/-20/-10/0/35/70/100

FMODE1 (Sport):

ELE 75 20
AIL 65 20
THR 100 - 7Point: -100/-70/-35/0/35/70/100
RUD 100 -
COL 80 - 7Point: -100/-70/-35/0/35/70/100

FMODE2 (Stunt):

ELE 90 20
AIL 80 20
THR 100 - 7Point: 100/93/86/80/86/93/100
RUD 100 -
COL 85 - 7Point: -100/-70/-35/0/35/70/100

NOTE: In Deviationtx, 6ch heli throttle curve of -100/-70/-35/0/35/70/100 with 0 pitch at 0% equiv to 0/17/34/50/67/84/100 with 0 pitch at 50%.

Model setup / Model type: / Heli
---> SwashType: 120
---> ELE (servo): Inverted
---> AIL (servo): Normal
---> COL(servo): Normal

---> ELE Mix: 60
---> AIL Mix: 50
---> COL Mix: 60

Sticky Throttle Hold is active on RUD DR0. Toggle icons indicate TH and FMODE status.

I would appreciate any feedback on this configuration.

regards . . . g

EDIT: I have changed my settings as listed below:

Fmode1 THR 7Point 90/85/82/80/82/85/90
Fmode2 THR 7Point 100/95/90/85/90/95/100
Col Mix 55

These settings were suggested by FyreSG on Rcgroups. Control is much smoother.

Hi there and thank you for the config, I am about to set-up my FBL80 so it'll be great help.

One question though, did you try to set the swash type to none instead of 120? On all my 3D FBL micro helis (SP125, Ncpx) I use "none" as swash type and all is well, is the FBL80 any different that is needs a Swash type/mix defined? I was under the impression the FBL helis by definition do not need to have a swash type defined as the flybarless system does the mixing on the fly, correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for the FBL70 config as well, I found it after I struggled a bit setting up my own FBL70 :-)

When I set the swash type to 'none', I loose my collective mixing and the 80 takes off like a scared cat.

Hi, I've used your ini file with V922 and it works great!

I'm new to deViation and I'm trying to understand what is the Virtual Channel 4 that you set in the ini file:

"

[virtchan4]
template=complex
[mixer]
src=Virt4
dest=Virt4
usetrim=0
curvetype=min/max
[mixer]
src=THR
dest=Virt4
offset=-1
usetrim=0
muxtype=add
[mixer]
src=AIL
dest=Virt4
switch=RUD DR1
usetrim=0
curvetype=fixed

[trim1]
src=LEFT_V
pos=TRIMLV+
neg=TRIMLV-
[trim2]
src=RIGHT_V
pos=TRIMRV+
neg=TRIMRV-
[trim3]
src=LEFT_H
pos=TRIMLH+
neg=TRIMLH-
[trim4]
src=RIGHT_H
pos=TRIMRH+
neg=TRIMRH-
value=1
"

Can you please explain what you did? There are 3 page mixer and the first for example is with max/min curve...i don't understand....then you use as source the same channel: virtual 4....again I don't understand...

Thanks for your time and your sharings!

Hi matrixFLYER:

The 3 page complex mixer based on virtual channel 4 provides a 'sticky throttle hold' and was developed by Deviationtx members MWM and fabien.

After using your throttle hold, you must bring your throttle stick to the bottom before it will engage again. This prevents your heli from accidently starting while disengaging throttle hold.

Also, I have now set my Fmode2 stunt mode to flat 100% throttle.

The HiSky micro CP such as the FBL80 and FBL100 both leave the CCPM mixing to be done on the TX. Just like older flybarred heli.

That is the reason you need to assign a 120 swash type.

I have brought it up to HiSky rep many times, hoping they will change to have the CCPM mixing be done on the RX like the other FBL helis. It will make it easier to program the radio.

I'm guessing this configuration won't work on my Devo 7E with the native WL Toys module will it?

I have been flying a HFP80 using a Devo8 and WL-t6 adapter. I today I tried flying my new FBL80 using Gordonzo's config file. Any attempt to get in the air has failed. The two times I got it in the air I hand launched it, and any stick movement she would just nose dive. I have CP experience with Walkera birds and a Nano CPX. I did not think there was that much difference between my Devo 8 and a Devo 10 for the file not to work.
