Walkera CP Helicopters - 3 Difficulty Modes was created by Tom Z
I made this model based off my other Walkera CP Helicopter models.
It has 3 difficulty modes: Beginner, Standard, 3D. The difficulty modes are controlled with the Flight Mode Switch.
Normal - Beginner Settings
No negative pitch for normal mode so you don’t slam the heli down if you pull the stick down to fast. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. Mild pitch.
D/R = 50% EXP +30%
ST-1 - Standard Settings
-3* negative pitch. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. More aggressive pitch.
D/R = 70% EXP +30%
ST-2 - 3D Settings
Full +/- 3D pitch curve. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. Aggressive pitch.
D/R = 125% EXP LIN
This model will work on the following helicopters.
*If you are using the V120D02S, V120D02S V2, Genius CP V1 with the WK-2801 Pro compatible Receiver change Protocol=DEVO to Protocol=WK2801.
Model 47 is for deviation firmware v4 and the DEVO 6/6S/8/8S/10/12/12S.
* This model will not work for deviation firmware v2.1 or v3.
Fixed ID
My model does not use a Fixed ID.
If you used a Fixed ID with the original Walkera firmware you must clear the Fixed ID in the Receiver with the Bind Plug.
If you don't clear the Fixed ID the model will not bind.
If you want to use a Fixed ID you can enter the same Fixed ID you had for the original Walkera firmware.
Example: Your original Walkera firmware Fixed ID was: 123456
Assign the Deviation Fixed ID: 123456
You can also assign any Fixed ID that you want to use. You don't have to use the original Walkera firmware Fixed ID. Clear the Fixed ID in the Receiver with the Bind Plug then assign any Fixed ID that you want to use.
Normal: Linear Curve
ST-1: V Shaped Throttle Curve
ST-2: 100% Flat Across
Throttle Hold is active on RUDD D/R switch
Pitch Curve
Normal: No negative pitch for normal mode so you don’t slam the heli down if you pull the stick down to fast. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. Mild pitch.
ST-1: -3* negative pitch. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. More aggressive pitch.
ST-2: Full +/- 3D pitch curve. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick. Aggressive pitch.
Gyro Gain
64% for Normal and Stunt modes. This value is equal to the Walkera firmware value of 82% gyro gain.
DR/EXPO
Adjust D/R and EXPO to your personal preference.
DR/EXPO is controlled with the Flight Mode Switch.
Normal: Beginner Settings
ELEV D/R = 50% EXP +30%
AILE D/R = 50% EXP +30%
RUDD D/R = 100% EXP LIN
ST-1: Standard Settings
ELEV D/R = 70% EXP +30%
AILE D/R = 70% EXP +30%
RUDD D/R = 100% EXP LIN
ST-2: 3D Settings
ELEV D/R = 125% EXP LIN
AILE D/R = 125% EXP LIN
RUDD D/R = 100% EXP -10%
Download the Configuration Settings File.
Right click the "model.ini " and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" depending if you are using IE or Firefox.
Install the configuration settings file into your models folder (See my How to video below).
This will over-right the current file so make sure that model slot doesn’t
have a model being used in it. If it does rename the configuration settings file
to another number that you have free.
Example: The file you downloaded is named model5 so change the “5" to another slot
number that you don’t have a model setup for. If you have model slot 6 open rename the file to model6

This model is for the Walkera Master CP. It is the same as the model above but the pitch curves were customized so there is no motor bog at full pitch pumps or in 3D flight.
This model will also work for the Walkera V450D01/D03.
For the deviation firmware v4 and the DEVO 6/6S/8/8S/10/12/12S.
* The model will not work for deviation firmware v2.1 or v3.

Nice Tom, you really do a tremendous job for all the new ones choosing deviation.
Thank you very much for your time.

Walkera is 0 to 100. Deviation is -100 to 100.
So to go from Walkera value of X to a Deviation value, subtract 50 and double the value.
Or double it and subtract 100.
Conversely, to go from a Deviation value, either add 100 and divide by 2, or divide by 2 and add 50.

Hi Tom,
First I just want to thank you for files you post and the contribution you are making on this forum.
My question is I notice on my Master CP in beginners mode, the heli still slams down pretty fast and hard when I quickly move down the throttle. Is there a certain setting I was suppose to do in addition to your ini file? Am I missing something?

Thank you Tom, really great, it works very well, I recovered several Walkera and I don't know anything about it, I had never touched a helicopter, I couldn't configure the T8gs and this night to the miracle I fell on your config. Well done!
