Hello. I have managed to fly V686G using a modified V222 ini file (altered the protocol from V202 to flysky), but all i can do is just fly. I can not make the camera to start recording (although it transmits image), and also the responses to stick inputs are not the best. Does anyone have a working V686G ini file for DEVO 10 that wants to share? Thank you.

Thank you very much for the fast reply. I loaded the file and tested it, and it flyes pretty well even against some wind.
But aside from the basic controls all other function still don't work. I can not record video, or take pics. I don't know if flips work as i haven't tryed them with the stock tx either, and i don't know if lights are supposed to go on and off either, but i don't mind about those things. All i would like to be able to do is take some pics and record video.

I re-bound it to the stock tx, and it does record. Is there maybe something that needs tweeking in the ini file? I still preffer this file over the one i had before, it flyes smoother, i only wish i could make it record. Thank you for your help.

what firmware do you use. I think you have to load the nightly built for these functions.

:(

I am using the Deviation 4.0.1 So, it doesn't work with that?

I would upgrade to a new nightly build, but i read i have to redo the connections to the modules, and it was a pain in the first place to do them.

Oh, well, at least i now know the file works ok, it is just not supported correctly from the firmware. I will use the stock tx whenever i want to record a video.

Thank you for the reply.

there is no need to change the wires for the nrf module. for the A7105, it depends on what module you have. if you use a module from an wltoys tx, you also do not have to change anything. Only for the A7105D03 or simular modules you have to change a few wires, only on the module side.
It might even work without a change at all. But i am not 100% shure about that.

Indeed i have a NRF and a XL7105D03 which complicates things. I could have used a A7105 from a Wltoys tx, but i wanted to have the amplifier, although i am not sure it does really work.

I have the same as you, and i am very happy with it. Of course it is your choise but i would advice to "'upgrade".
On the module you have now a connection between 3.3v and txen. disconnect this from 3.3v and connect txen to GIO1.
You also have to connect rxen to GIO2. If you have connected this one to GND then you have to disconnect that also..
That is all.

You make it sound so easy that am tempted to try it. Thank you for all the support.

P.S. I just checked, and yes i have made the connections as you sayed. So it only takes altering two connections.

I just set up my Devo 7E today and have almost all of my quads working on it. However, I am unable to bind the v686G,

I have this module from bangood us.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-A710...e-wp-Usa-909404.html
I connected it as in the Tom Per diagram.

It works fine for my Hubsan X4 107C and Estes Proto-X. It will not bind with the V686G. It works fine on almost all of my NRF models.

On the Devo7E the binding countdown finishes and it beeps. But the V686G lights keep blinking and do not respond at all. I am using the Flysky with v6x6 option. Unfortunately, that is all that I have that use the A7105 to test the module.

Edit: Nevermind - I took the V686G radio apart to look at its transmitter and discovered that they changed their transmitter. It won't bind on the old protocol anymore. However, it will bind under CX-10 with Q282 settings.
