Reading the manual is usually a pretty good first step... Here's the exact section you need.

EDIT: It won't allow direct linking to specific manual pages, you want sections 9.1

www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10

Model menu
Name your model file
Sellect DSM2 protocol
6 channels
Enter a Fixed-ID [random digits you make up] in that box
Click bind button (while doing necessary steps on receiver end)

I presume you are running Cleanflight? If so, you can set up a switch to Arm. In Deviation for my Devo12e I used the Rud D/R switch on Channel 5 (Aux1), set up with a simple 1-to-1 curve, which will output a high value when 0 (up for me means Armed, similar to Throttle Hold off), and a low value when 1. In Cleanflight under Modes, I set up the Arm mode to Aux1 when the value is over 1500.

You can also set up the sticks to arm by position, but that is a bit trickier.

It appears you have the bind working ok.

The message you're getting at Devo power on about the safe value is because either your throttle isn't in the fully down position or you didn't calibrate your sticks properly.

So the only other thing is to get channel 5 set up in the Mixer menu.

This thread talks about how to do it.

ok it seems I did everything that ibseem in those videos and thank you by the way they really helped. I think my problem is the DEVO 10 switches aren't showing up on cleanflight by the show up on the devo10 is there a switch to activate the switch for it to work in cleanflight

Here's short video

The input as seen in the Input monitor tells us that the switches are working, but you have to use the Mixer page to assign a switch to a channel. If that sounds like gibberish to you, you need to read the manual... chapter 9, specifically, section 9.2.4 (for the Devo10) discusses how to assign an input (e.g. the Gear switch) to an output channel using the Mixer.

I can see in the video that you have all four sticks working correctly, so don't change them. But you need to set up the mixer (5-GEAR) to an input switch on channel 5. Once you do that you'll see the switch movement in the Input screen AND you will see the activity as the output goes from -100 to 100 on channel 5 in the Channel Monitor. When that is working, Cleanflight will see the switch on Aux1 and you can set the arm range.

Keep up the good work!
