Which protocol and Receiver for 700 size Helis?

I am still using the original Devention software for flying my larger heli's (450 and 600), but I bought a second Devo8s and Devo7e for the smaller heli's which both run the Deviation nighties.

Question: now that we have a choice of protocols on Deviation, which protocol and compatible receiver is the "best" for those larger models? With "best" I mean which (in theory and practice) should give the most reliable communication with the model.

I am not looking for most features supported by the receivers like telemetry or fail save, etc - but rather suggestions on the most reliable protocol for high noise 2.4 GHz environments.

Spektrum DSMX, Futaba FASST, FrSky ACSST or Hitec AFHSS.

Thanks Vlad, I guess that leaves us with DSMX for now.

I noticed HK announced a new (or have in stock) an Orange 8ch DSMX receiver with satellite receiver and SBUS capability.

Please just get a spectrum, or other high grade receiver for a 700. Their just beyond way to dangerous.
Your going to regret it when a signal glitch gets someone killed.

Ps, most OrangeRX recievers does not swap over to the sattelite correctly on signal loss

Thanks Xermalk, I am considering DSMX satellite receivers for the 600EFL (and the to-be- build 700e) which then plug directly into the Align 3GX (V3.1).

Currently the 600 is flying with RX802 receiver feeding the 3GX.
(Once plugged into a 3GX, a DSMX satellite binds on DSM2 only, but I guess in the typical low noise environments there is no difference between DMS2 and DSMX.)

Thanks about the tip on the Orange receivers, was considering them as they are 1/3 of the price.

I fly my 500 with rx802 never had any glitches. I wouldn't trust a 700 with reverse engineered protocol.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

With Deviation? Cause the Devo protocol is reverse engineered as well

Devo 10 + 4in1
Spektrum Dx9
FrSky Taranis + TBS Crossfire

Largest heli I currently have is a Blade 450 3D with a $pektrum receiver, and feel safe that its reliable.

I just have to +1 the advice to not fly a 700 size with the cheapest rx. I know its tempting because of the price. If you used a higher quality RX if/when it does go down because of rx glitch, at least you will know you used the best you could..

A Spektrum DSMX rx seems like a sane choice

Deviation :) 1 TX to rule them all...

Ditto that (for now) - I love Deviation, is full committed to what we are doing here, but the 600EFL, like the little Align 250s and V450D01 are all still using RX802s and the Devo8s running Devention.

My small babies like the V911, V120D02s and Genius are the Deviation "test fleet". I also added a HUBSAN X107, never though these little quads could be so much fun.
