At least I can confirm that in my case Betaflight + ibus + failsave it works, but only way to do it is to setup the failsave, per channel inside the Tx. So when link lost throttle will go down to zero. (or any predefined value as you like). Not sure if it is a real Betaflight failsave, but at least no signal = my motors stop.
Before setting failasave in Tx (while by default) , at signal loss, it continue sending last received value.......(=dangerous)

After you set up failsafe on your tx did you have to rebind to the rx before it would work?

Failsafe settings are sent regularly every few seconds, it should work instantaneously, no need to rebind or even switch the receiver off/on.(but of course you'll have to switch off the transmitter to check if it works as expected
)

So i goto channel failsafe and set it to -125 on throttle and it should drop the throttle when i power off my tx?
Or i can set the Aux channel i have set to Arm and it would dis-arm when powering off the tx?

If you're arming with an AUX channel then yes, better use that.
Or if you're using cleanflight / betaflight, go to the failsafe tab (enable expert mode) to configure channel value below 950µs as invalid and set failsafe to -125% on any channel on the Devo.

On betaflight when watching the receiver inputs and powering off the tx they all hold and none drop like expected..
I'll do some more testing before i do any test hover ect..
I set my Aux channel that i use to arm at - value ant tested it and it seems to be working with a 2 second delay which is better then before it just keep running..

I would like to connect to a x6b receiver, I've soldered the wires to it and set Address field to 0x08000000 and Size to 0x8000.
Then I was able to connect, but when I hit save to dump the firmware (bin file) I get an error.
It seems if I try with a hex file dump it works, it produces a 78KB file.
Anything wrong I'm doing?
I powered the x6b also from USB device (STLink) from 5V pin, should that be an issue?
Please look at the attachements...

I'm not sure what the problem is... but if you can produce a .hex file without error then that's fine.

I had to downgrade to ST-Link Utility 3.9.0 from 4.0 and now I can dump the firmware successfully.

Anybody figured out a simple way to get the RSSI out of the X6B rx to an OSD?

That's possible with the x6b with betaflight + osd (built-in or minimosd ...)
set the LQI Output protocol option to a free channel and setup betaflight to use this channel as RSSI in the receiver tab.

Thanks for all your help and hard work i setup the LQI to ch8 and then proceeded to setup Betaflight to display RSSi and wala it works! Matches my tx LQI display ...Quick question sometimes my telemetry displays turn red but no alarms are triggered cause nothing drops below the settings i have set to sound alarm, then after a few seconds they go back to the normal white display..Any idea what could be causing it?

That's because your Tx doesn't receive telemetry data for a few seconds, check your antenna.
Also, if you've one of the firsts x-in-1, the LNA is not working for the nrf24l01 and the a7105, this is a known issue, this has been fixed in the last revisions.

Both modules i have are doing it but it rarely happens so not to worried about it as long as if don't affect the range of the control inputs..

I can see alittle difference between the FS and Turnigy Rxs: I can read "Sbus" on the upper connector of the iA6b but I can't run my Corona Sbus servos; is there a way to fix ?
