New modules?

Category: General Discussions

Thanks for letting me know and thank you very much hexfet for keeping a pulse in this place.

I put the memory in and a new 4n1. I have had trouble getting things going, I have been able to troubleshoot all the problems I've had with the info here but I'm stuck i get "Missing Modules: MultiMod" error. I've been messing with the hareware.ini but more errors..... I keep searching but have found no solution.

So, is this F12e useless for the Open Tx and Eagle Tx that was mentioned?

Deviation is almost extinct it seems. Hexfet was instrumental in getting CRSF shot and ELRS to work with existing hardware, but he's the only developer I've seen keeping Deviation alive. Seems most have moved to newer hardware with Open Tx and now Edge Tx.
I'm still hanging on with Deviation and old hardware. It does everything I need now. But I can't code and may have to eventually move on.

Hi,

I can't tell you where you can still find spare parts for the 7e. Maybe buying a used 7e is an option.
Alternatively, you can operate the 7e with a Lipo battery, in this case the battery compartment is not needed.
You can find such a battery on AliExpress: 7,4 V 2200 mAh LiPo Batterie Walkera Devo 7e

Got a One Off F210 / F7 Question - HELP

Category: General Discussions

Hello All....

 I've been struggling with a project that I've been really stuck on and I've ran outta help, ideas etc. etc..

I have a couple F210-3D's. One I left the arms stock - And the other I purchased a sheet of carbon fiber, and made the Arms on the F210-3D about 3 inches longer than stock. Which by doing so I was able to put on Larger 4 Blade props. Which INSTANTLY made flying ALOT more stable... She's not as quick and Agile as the 2 Blade Stock props, But I gotta say "Its Really made flying 1000x's more Enjoyable...

Here's the iggy Im faced with...
I called TBS Tech Support and inquired as to if they have ever heard of using a TBS Tango II on the Walkera F210. Unfortunately this Kat has not, But he was curious and spoke to some other people who then told him it is, and would be possible. And Id need to pick-up a TBS Nano and go from there. So I did......

My F210 came with that replacement board that fits in place where the stock RX is. ( External Receiver Converter F210 3D-Z-09 )

So I removed the stock RX - Installed the Ext RX Converter - Moved the PPM/SBUS switch to SBUS. Wired up the TBS Nano (3 wires) - Closed up -
Turned on my Tango II - Powered up my F210 - I then successfully binded to the Nano to my Tango II - I then go into BF - Verified channels 1-4 were working (TEAR1234)
I then go into receiver tab, set it up multiple ways. Went into modes - Made all of my switches - I then TEST......

NOTHING - SQUAT -ZIP ZILCH - NADA - NO SIR - NOTHING...

seems I can bind with no issues, but cant get any of the mode switches to work on any channel....

Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP Me Out or maybe shed some light on this ordeal....

Of coarse there is no tech support forb Walkera, TBS couldn't give me any tid bits bc there not assoc with Walkera etc..

Literally Hit a Brick wall.......

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECHIETED......

Thanks in Advance - Cole

Answering my own question. After reading a ton of older threads, the safest build to flash seems to be deviationtx.com/forum/builds/8508-refere...viation-v5-x-x#75333 (and next message)

It seems to work well on a Devo 10 and 12E for what I could test

Replacing OLED screen w/ LCD screen on T8SG V2+

Category: General Discussions

I have been increasingly frustrated with the OLED screen in bright weather, so I ordered a V2 LCD screen from jumper. The V2+ main board has a socket for the LCD screen, so I expected this to be straightforward. Actually it was not difficult - the LCD screen works fine with a reload to the T8SG V2 dfu. All works fine, except the LCD backlight does not work. Has anybody made this replacement successfully, with a working backlight? I would appreciate any insight on how the LCD backlight is set up. As is it works great outside in bright light.

Configuration not saved on reboot DEVO10

Category: General Discussions

Hi
I' m using the last nightly build for my Devo10, and I think the is a bug, or something I don't understand!
When I modify curves, ans check the "save" button at the right up corner (I hear a beep), the configuration is losed on the next reboot of the TX.
The only way for getting the configuration saved is to charge an other model, (I can see "model unsaved" on the list for my actual model) then going back to the model I want, the configuration is saved this way!
Strange! Thank you!

Latest working builds for Devo 10 and Devo 12E

Category: Builds

I have been away from the DeviationTX world for years, now trying to get a couple of transmitters flashed with a working build. I do understand that there are no "new" builds, and I see the old 5.0 builds, plus a few nightly builds. I have "plain vanilla" Devo 10 and Devo 12E (not F12E), just added a 4-in-1 module, nothing else.

The old 5.0.builds do not support the 12E.

What is a "safe" nightly build to use, with a decent number of protocols for the 4-in-1 module?

Thank you very much.

I'm working on a multifunction unit for an old 1/14 scale truck. I had an old MFC from Tamiya but it looks like something made in the middle of the 80's. So I decided to remove it to put something with more features. Unfortunately the market is dominated by quads, planes and helicopters. If I want something more sophisticated I have to go DIY. I have a few prototypes but I'm still planning it. Your code can save me a lot of time.

Thanks.

Hi I'm new here, I was searching for the source code of the AFHDS2A RX protocol. @markxr is it possible to get a copy of your source code? Thank.
