devo 12e wont power on

attempted to install deviation firmware on my devo12e and I had to use the walkera software because deviation upload wouldn't recognize the transmitter even with the right driver. So the upgrade succeeded but when I turned it off and then on the screen was blank even while pressing the ext or ent key. Anything would help because it definitely feels like its bricked...

This sounds like library has not been installed.

After installing the dfu with the DfuSe tool, did you power down and bacj up again in USB mode to copy the library over?

In the user manual it states too..

Turn off the transmitter, and turn back on while holding ‘ENT’. There should be a USB logo on the screen. If this is a first-time install of Deviation, the PC should prompt to format a drive. Format using default options. Next, upgrade the file system via USB.

Read "2.2. DFU Installation With Walkera DfuSe" and "2.3. Upgrading the file system via USB" of the manual and try again.

I tried to boot it'll USB mode as the instructions stated but nothing happens, the screen won't even light up anymore.

And also what library files are there in the devo12e nightly builds? It doesn't have any of the files that the guide suggests

I've extracted this file and can see all the files required present.

Yes that's the version I had but it only had like 3 single files in it. I'm at work right now so I'd have to see what the file names were when I get off. I judged tested again this morning trying to enter DFU and USB mode, neither of them worked. No beep, no screen light.

I just downloaded that file you linked and it has way more files than the one I downloaded. Really odd

I have a feeling that you downloaded F12E which does have far less files.

I could swear that I didn't but it's entirely possibly that I did since I was tired. Would that firmware brick it? If not then I could easily flash the correct version if my receiver would just turn on. I've already checked the voltage conning from the battery pack connector and it is working fine.

Just re-flash the firmware, no harm would have come from using the wrong version.

It won't power on and the computer doesn't recognize that it's plugged in so I can't re-flash it, that's my main issue.

Ok, remove/unplug the battery from the tx for 15 mins, make sure the battery is fully charged regardless of what voltage your measured, then plug it back in and then switch it on while pressing the EXT button, it should go into program mode.

If it's still not working I don't know what else to suggest, perhaps someone else on here has had a similar issue like this?

I tried that this morning and it didn't work. I tried searching for users with a similar issues and couldn't find any :/ I'm not sure where to go from here other than buying a new one or seeing if UC drone will replace it.

I would leave the battery out for a few hours or overnight as a last ditch attempt, or try putting some normal AA batteries in, everything I've read suggests it's the thing to do.

What part of the world are you from?

I'm actually using AA right now and I left it unplugged last night figuring that might solve it but no dice.

Awesome thread! Thank you for that, it looks like I need to flash my boot loader, already bought the programmer for it so hopefully this will fix it!

I tried flashing the bootloader but it didn't fix it, the flash worked but still nothing from the screen and no response on the USB port. I suspect it's because it's the Devo 12 bootloader not the 12e bootloader but that's all they had on the deviation bootloader page, any idea where I can find the Devo 12e bootloader? I tried searching google but didn't find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated

I'll give that a try tonight after work, any ideas if that doesn't fix it?
