No.
Honestly it wasn't wise to install a different bootloader into it, but I think the problem rather is the power circuit, then the bootloader.
There is a diagram floating over the forums, which should help to identify the problem if you have a multimeter to check some voltages.
Sometimes it is simply the power button, which is the weakest link...

The only reason I went the bootloader way is because I saw power to the board from the switch

I'll double check again though it's possible something has changed since then

Flashed the Devo 10 bootloader and it works now, I effectively have a Devo 10 now because the 2 extra pots don't work but I guess it's better than having a dead remote.

I'm glad it's working.
The bootloader has nothing t do with the pots, you probably just need to calibrate them...

It doesn't recognize them when I try to set them on a complex mixer. Am I missing something?

Note that I also had to flash the Devo 10 deviation firmware, when I tried to flash the 12e it wouldn't let me in the deviation tool and in the walkera tool it bricked the radio so I had to flash the bootloader again.
(Edit)
I saw under the dfu tab on the deviation tool it would let me send the 12e dfu but I didn't want to brick it once again so I just stuck to the 10 dfu. If you think that sending the dfu over the deviation tool will work then I'll try that. I just didn't want to mess with it anymore last night

Now that you can flash a working bootloader, if I were you I would give it a try to upgrade the 12e dfu.
But there is a chance that it won't work having a devo10 bootloader, but it shouldn't affect the bootloader, so you will probably only need to put back the devo 10 fw.

I'm gonna give it a try after work. I see that one person posted all the bootloaders, does he have any intention of getting the 12e bootloader or is he not active anymore?
Or is there any way I can pull it from my new radio? I would've tried before but it's read protected and I don't know how to get around that.

It's not simple to extract the bootloader, because the built in flash is read protected.
You need a special fw, which copies the built in flash to the SPI flash from where you can "upload" that with the Walkera DfuSe as a library, then you need to extract it from that library DFU.
PhracturedBlue had written such a fw, and extracted the botloader from all the TX he had. (Yes he has that many...

Damn that's a lot of work just to pull a bootloader, hopefully he'll get bored and get a 12e to pull the bootloader from lol

I also had problems with windows not recognising the devo TX but I was fortunate when I used the walkera route I was able to get it all working even though it was not really clear to me what I had to do and I had to cycle thru both methods a few times to realise what I should be doing.
I would have been so depressed if it had not eventually fired up correctly! You have my sympathies if it helps.
