IRangeX iRX-IR8M software issue

Hello,
I"m hoping someone can help me.
I've had this radio about a month and everything was working fine. Now when I try to turn it on all I get is a USB icon on the main screen. It wont load the deviation software. I'm no programmer and have limited knowledge of this software. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Things I've tried:
-Changing the batteries
-Leaving the batteries out all night hoping to reset something.
-Connecting it to windows 10( It sees it as a usb drive but then wont open anything)
-I've attempted to download dfuse and drivers for my computer but id didnt seem to work.
Is there a user program I need first?

You were right! Formatting the drive did the trick! Lost all my models but if that's the worst of it I'm happy!

How do you reformat the USB drive? My screen is black when I plug the USB cable--it will download ok. I have loaded 2.14 firmware successfully--after a few minutes the TX will stop working and then start running through the menu's non-stop. Where can I find the original IR8M program to reload. It was working ok.

It sounds like you might have other issues besides the one I had. Regardless:
With the controller plugged into windows via the usb cable, Hold the enter button down while turning on the controller.
This should illuminate a USB logo on the main screen.
It should come up in the drive menu as an external drive.
Right click on the drive and select format drive.
That's it...
I would suggest coping the folder to the desk top before you do that though just in case.

Reddog--thanks for the reply. My TX's LCD will not light up and the USB will not appear on the computer screen as a removable disk. I believe that my TX has hardware issues. Bang good has suspended sales because of all the problems with the TX. I am glad that you got a good one.

It sounds like your ext button is sticking. Does it make a clicking sound when you push it? If it is stuck then your screen when you power it up would be solid black and be in the transmitter would be in the wrong mode.
