Devo 7E 3x2 switches do not respond

I did the range mod today and decided to add two 3-way switches using 1N4148 diodes while the transmitter was open.
I've also formatted and updated to the latest nightly release, with the only change from default being extra-switches=3x2.

The channel monitor shows SW A0, SW A1, SW A2, SW B0, SW B1, and SW B2.
However, when I flip the SW A or B switches, there is no visual change on this screen.
But then it gets stranger, when the left switch is in the topmost position it activates throttle trim up, with the associated beeps. There is still no change on the channel monitor screen.

I've checked all the connections and they match straferr's and Daryoon's instructions.
I actually just resoldered the connections on the main board, just to make sure, but there is no change.
I also tested the diode's resistance and they appear to be fine.

I've previously added a nrf24l01 using A13, but i don't think that would affect the switches.
I've read many threads of other issues with switches, but haven't found an answer to this.

Check that the band side on the diode is connected the switch terminal. If the polarity is wrong you'll get odd results because the switches are a matrix.

I checked the diodes, also with multimeter, they're positioned correctly.
I also replaced the diodes, but there was no change.

Are the black and purple wires swapped? The center post of each switch (your black wire) should be connected to the top (from this camera angle) pad of those two, I think, not the middle one.
