I created a new test build (
81977b2
). I added a telemetry item for max altitude. Row 10, first column. The value will be reset to zero by a long UP press while on the telemetry test screen, and when the tx is powered off.
Probably using the datalog to record the altitude is a better solution, but the script to decode the datalog file is way out-of-date and I don't have time to update it right now.
Have a great holidays!

[/b]Many thanks, I will test it as soon as possible.
Today we had club Christmas meeting on the airfield, it was again very windy, but two of us took planes in the air.
So we have new datalog
I wish you also nice holidays and very very good new year!

The telemetry works, also the max altitude record.
Chapeau dear friend!
Happy and good new year!

That's a beautiful airplane!
Attached has text report of data from the datalog.

Thank you
It is homemade foamie 1,3 m wingspan PT17 Stearman.
The datalog looks good, the over six hundred meters at the end are recorded after disconnecting the battery in the plane after landing.
I am going to organize second altitude sensor for future testing.
The results I will put here ...
Many thanks for your effort
Regards
Pavel

Can I have a question?
Do you have any idea, if it could be possible to convert data NMEA-0183 to I-Bus ? Or to S-Bus?
I have the BN-880 GPS modul, this has the NMEA-0183 protocol output . Of course it could be interesting to connect it to FlySky receiver ....
And one more question:
I am looking for second transmitter. Do you have any recomendation?
What do you think about DEVO F12E? The FPV display looks great, I am thinking about using camera on my plane or heli ....
And what about FlySky FS-PL18 Paladin?
Or another recomendation? Not too expensive ....
Many thanks
Pavel

S-BUS is only a control protocol I believe. I-Bus does have telemetry but I don't know anything about it. Google says there's a GPS sensor. You'd need to build something that implements I-BUS telemetry for GPS from the NMEA data.
I've only used the devo10 and t8sgV2+. I think the F12E screen is a little different so might need a little work to support the max altitude on that that tx
Don't know about the Paladin either.
The other radio I have runs EdgeTX which is what I'd recommend. Radiomaster TX16 is a popular radio that runs EdgeTX but there are others - some people like the game controller form factor.

Yesterday I was on the airfield and the altitude measurement worked well, also the maximal height data.
Well done !
One question - does it have sense to install your last nightly builds instead of the last Test build we made?
Regards
Pavel

yes, please install the nightly and let me know how it works. Should be exactly the same as the last test build. If so I'll delete the test build and officially finish the change.

OK, I will do it.
But for the result it would be necessary to be patient....
Observing the altitude I overlooked the battery status and landing without running engine was too hard...
So this week big service challenge ...
How is it with the support for ELSR module with this Nighty builds?
Have a nice day
Pavel

Ouch. Time for the ground crew to get busy.
CRSF is working well with both ELRS and TBS. The configuration pages display and navigation is improved.
Have a good day!

Hello,
the ground stuff wass succesfull
The last nightly builds from you worked well.
I am not sure about the altitude sensor, it stops at 32m and I think the plane raised more...
Actually another altitude sensor is assembled in the plane and tomorrow or on Monday next test will occure.
Next item or news :
On Thursday I bought the Eachine TX16S, which is rebranded Radiomaster .
Actually I found that programming in Deviation was more simple and easy for me
More logical ....
BTW, the Max.Altitude will not be included in EdgeTx , I have worries ....
Have a nice day

Hello,
please, the Radiomaster tX16S which you are using is 4in1 or ELRS ?
If it is 4in1, which version of Multimodule firmware are you using? TAER or AETR ?
On the Multimodule pages I have read, that for the Radiomaster the version TAER has been used ....
Many thanks for your help
Pavel

Looks like the airframe repairs went well
I have a Jumper T16 running EdgeTX with an internal multi-module but I only use it for testing. I find EdgeTX unintuitive as well but the more powerful processor is nice. All my real flying is with Deviation.
I haven't used the multi-module in a while but from what I remember it's usually AETR. They have a thread on RCGroups where you could ask www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2...l-TX-Module/page1706
EdgeTX may support saving max value on any telemetry item. They have a Discord for questions.

For many years I have always used the AETR version of the multiprotocol firmware in my TX16s, which was installed on delivery.
As far as I know, the channel order in the 4-1 multiprotocol module is automatically mapped for the selected protocol.

Thanks for the information, Dirk.
In the TX16S, which I get from first owner was also AETR version installed.
Looking for last version I have seen on the manufacturer site, that Radiomaster needs the TAER version , therefore I had some doubts ...
I will install the last AETR version definitelly
Have a nice day

Hello hexfet,
as promised, today I was on the airfield and the second altitude sensor worked well and same did the FlySky telemetry made by you
The highest altitude which the PT17 managed was 153m , to be honest it could go higher, but it starts to be invisible for me
From my point of view ( I am using only battery voltage, RSSI and altitude ) the FlySky telemetry on Deviation works well.
Once more THANKS!!!
Have a nice day
