Can Jumper T8SG V2 Plus run Frsky R9M?

Sorry if this is a stupid question to some. I'm still fairly new to the hobby but have been enjoying my Jumper T8SG V2 Plus and looking to get some more range out of one of my quads. Wondering if I can pick up an R9M 2019 version and just plug it in, bind it up and fly? Is it that simple or does it require special firmware or hardware mods? I'm not opposed to either but just looking for a guide on what to do and despite my best searching efforts I can't seem to find anything.

Is that a yes or no? Sorry I don't see if you previously said you got it to work or not in that thread. :/
