Got it.

I went into the menu and keep trying frequencies until I found one that works. :)

So right now, my devo7e is controlling the X4FPV, while the video is displayed on the Hubsan TX.

good news, it's on with a default frequency at power up !

should be very easy to hack :)

what's the default frequency ?

The default frequency on the hubsan seem to vary somewhat, between 5725 and 5780. Probably to reduce the chance of disturbing another hubsan in the air.

Got it, that's too easy, on the 0x40 tx frames, bb and cc bytes are the frequency in MHz:

eg: in your dump, the last frequency you set is 0x1694 = 5780 !!!

I'll now build a firmware that tries to set it to 5900MHz :)

Cool. The highest frequency is 5945mhz. Then the next step rolls back to 5725MHz.

I just built a firmware for Devo 7e/5945MHz but there's something I'm not sure.
I've a Devo 10 and it only needs the .dfu file, I think I understand the 7e needs a .dfu and 1 .bin file per used protocol ?

Which file(s) should I post ?

Tell me if this is OK (.dfu + every .bin, built for Devo 7):

If it works it should set the frequency to 5945

Is that for the 7e? I no longer have the module in my 7. Its installed in my Devo 10.

Edit: And whats with the download manager? I refuse to install download managers to download a file.

That doesn't look right. If you download one of the Devo7e firmware. You'll see the structure that gets outputted.

I get a .zip file that contains the dfu and a folder call /protocol

Within that folder are each of the protocol with the .mod extension. No .bin.

found the hidden link to not use the crappy download manager.
Ill see if i have a battery charged.

What firmware version is the protocol for? I'm running ca2fa01 right now.

I know. But I found out that if you click on the title at the top. You can download directly without needing to install the download manager. :)

Daryon, try rebinding and se if its always 5815.

And holy crap dfuse 2.0 sucks, 4 minutes just to get past the erase phase ? *shudders* i need to locate a download for 1.5.

I normally have a full firmware flash done in under a minute in my vm machine. but i don't have access to it right now.

Tried a bunch of rebind. And it's always 5815.

Actually, I can switch to the neighboring frequencies...5800, 5805, 5810 and 5815. But 5815 seems to be the strongest.

Ok was 5815 the default frequency when you used your previous firmware ?

There's always some bleeding on video frequencies. That's why you never use similar frequencies when you fly.

The fact that its constant though is a very very good step forward.

@ goebish 5815 is outside the default frequencies when binding.
