Only if you didn't notice...
The H8 Mini / Bayang Toys protocol has been cracked already by Hexfet

And at the moment you need to chose between H7 or H8 as to what protocol you have installed. Can't have both at the same time yet.

Because both protocols are under development and not pushed yet to the main repo. (Really AFAIK both and finished, but not pushed yet)
You can make a custom build merging both protocols to the last nightly since both codes are available.

No, it's on hold because I wanted to merge it with Moontop M99xx protocol but it looks like it has some issue.

I would like to know how this can be done. I'm new to deviation. I was in the latest nightly but i wanted to test the mt99-protocol but the build has no bayang. I have the Devo 7e tx.Durete wrote: You can make a custom build merging both protocols to the last nightly since both codes are available.

I tested the latest firmware h7 on Moontop, works fine with 6 channels, the channel 7:08 instead create confusion. Only thing I must point out, there are only the first and second installments missing the fastest. I do not remember if it has other functions. Thank you!

Channel 7 & 8 are protocol trims, I included them because I think they set accelerometer trim, not RC trim (???) and it was important to set them for mine.

Ok, what evidence can I do to help you figure out if the protocol works well? I did not understand what are the channels 7 and 8, however just not atttivarli from mixer and everything runs smoothly. Can you explain how to implement the third speed is the maximum? Thank you.

Speed is on channel 5, just set it to 100 for max.
Look at this post to assign trim buttons to protocol trims: deviationtx.com/forum/protocol-developme...7?limitstart=0#34882 ,but if yours is working fine with neutral trims you don't need to mess with them.

Does anyone know if there is a way to clear the protocol trims in the quad itself?
I messed with the trim using Goebish's model.ini file, and now my H7 is unflyable. It's almost like it confused the flight control board, and now one motor barely moves. The motor is fine, at least it was right before I messed with the trims. Either the trim screwed something up, or my motor just so happened to quit working right at the same time as I was messing with the trim. It also won't fly with the stock tx.
I have the trims centered now on the tx, and it does not help.
Nevermind. The motor is in fact dead/dying. The timing was just a freak coincidence.
Thanks.

If enough people confirm that this protocol is working fine for them I'll make a pull request for the protocol to be included in the nightly.
I need to know a few things:
- can you check test firmwares from this thread and the MT9916 thread ( www.deviationtx.com/forum/protocol-devel...m9916?start=20#36220 ) and confirm that both are working fine ? or one is working better ?
- maybe I should remove the protocol trims, I don't remember why I thought they were important ... (do you have to use them or do you leave them on neutral and just use A / E channel trims ?)
Also, I'll remove the "rate" channel and always use high rate instead.

I'd like to help, but not sure if I can since I'm a newbie.
I'm using a Devo 7e, at the moment it is running the "[hexfet]protocol_combo" testing build which I downloaded some days ago ("4e67384", I just realised that there is a newer build).
I downloaded the model.ini from this thread, selected MT99XX protocol and in the mixer I changed AIL to AIL, ELE to ELE.
I don't understand what protocol trims are, even after reading the related posting, but I verified that the settings are the same as pictured in the screenshot.
It binds and flies, but it is constantly drifting forward and I couldn't fix it with the trim buttons. This problem doesn't occur when using the stock H7 transmitter.
I haven't tried flips or any "advanced features" yet, actually it is challenging enough to compensate the forward drift

I think protocol trims don't work because I moved them from channels 7 & 8 to channels 11 & 12 when I renamed the protocol to
MT99xx
, you've to reflect this in the trims page settings.
