iRangeX iRX-IR8M builds no more?!

Category: Builds

I can't find the point of problem. Can you try next build with 4IN1_FLASH support disabled, but by different way. It will help localize the problem.

* Disable 4IN1_FLASH support by undefined HAS_4IN1_FLASH variable.

iRangeX iRX-IR8M builds no more?!

Category: Builds

Hi vlad_vy, I'm currently testing build 2018-03-14 to see if this fixes the Missing Modules CRF6936 message.

vlad_vy quote: "Changes:
* Enable 4IN1_FLASH support, to check if it is the reason for "Missing Modules: CRF6936" message."

The problem is now fixed.

Many Thanks, Regards, Stefan :)

iRangeX iRX-IR8M builds no more?!

Category: Builds

OK, I will enable 4in1 flash support to check if it is the reason. It it will work then 4IN1_FLASH support has error.

Since iRangeX iRX-IR8M (t8sg-v5.x.x-2017-09-19) is somewhat different from Jumper T8SG I will place here the builds for iRangeX iRX-IR8M.

Previous changes:
* RUD and AIL reversed to comply with common direction for Deviation.
* AUX4 and AUX5 reversed to comply with common direction for Deviation.
* All switches reversed to comply with common direction for Deviation.
* batt_critical set to 3900 since iRX-IR8M can use 4xAA battery.
* LCD Internal Resistor Rate (Rb/Ra) set to 4 (0x24).
* Add support for 6 independent trims set.
* Disable 4IN1_FLASH support, since it has not sense for transmitter with integrated 4in1 module.
* Restore some skipped corrections (corrections specific for devo7e-256, t8sg and ???, yes for ir8m)

Changes:
* Enable 4IN1_FLASH support, to fix "Missing Modules: CRF6936" message.

iRangeX iRX-IR8M builds no more?!

Category: Builds

Build 2018-01-31 is working fine
Build 2018-02-14 Missing Modules: CRF6936
Build 2018-02-22 Missing Modules: CRF6936

This problem isn't a filesystem problem I think you might have misunderstood my original post. The last two builds that follow 2018-01-31 are the ones that produce the Missing Modules issue. I have tried to upgrade to these numerous times I get the Missing Modules issue but as soon as I revert back to 2018-01-31 no CRF6936 issue.

The CRF6936 issue only occurs for me when the TX has been switched off for 2mins or longer in Builds 2018-02-14 and 2018-02-22.

2018-01-31 WORKS.

Build 2018-01-31 change is common for all transmitters, and other users havn't problems, so it's not a source of problem. I think it is filesystem problem, try to format transmitter USB drive, write filesystem and use "Safely Remove Hardware". Probably it can be a problem with I8RM hardware, this error has place with I8RM transmitters only.

For example, Jumper T8SG has 100% the same code, except one LCD setting and two channels reversed, but has not any I8RM problems.

Build 2018-02-21
I'm getting Missing Modules: CRF6936 when first starting the TX after it has been powered off for a couple of minutes. I power the TX off again wait for about 20 seconds power back on and then the TX behaves OK until the next time? In further testing, I found that the "Missing Modules" issue only occurs after build 2018-01-31.

Kind Regards, Stefan :)

Hi.

I connected the trainer port and tried to connect the vibration motor.
Fortunately, it was successful.

This unit has a universal vibration motor hole. But I had to make a separate case to connect the remaining motor.
I can not understand why these things were not installed from the beginning
I can not trust this device.

I tested with two frsky receivers D8RII and D8RXP. At 100uW I achieve 50m without problems, It can reach 60m I believe....
At 150mW it is 1500x bigger than 100uW so theoretically distance will increase by 38x given to us ~1,9km. But again, theoretically.

The iRangeX iRX-IR8M failure is now complete. The hardware design, manufacture, distribution and service was not up to the lowest basic requirements and expectations of an RC community that has been around for more than 50 years. Banggood's failure to openly acknowledge the concerns of it's customers and actively suppressing negative comments on their website sends a clear message, you can't trust them to do the right thing for customers.

Guys, but have you done range tests? With the NRF24L01 module I have 1/3 compared to my I have 10 and with the protocols Dsm is something ridiculous ... Worse than I have 7. Without long range mod. Do yours go better?

If you update the firmware and get error on startup: "Missing modules: A7105 ..." or something similar => Most likely it is filesystem problem. Try to format transmitter USB drive, copy filesystem and use "Safely Remove Hardware".

It's standard "hardware.ini". It doesn't help to understand why after installing latest software it says CYRF6936 chip is missing.
