CPPM is "combined" PPM. You set the Rx properly, and instead of outputting one PPM signal on each of the four servo headers, it outputs eight signals combined on one servo. So instead of running four or more lines to a flight control board, you only need one.

On this Rx, you jumper two servo signals together, and a third outputs 8channels of CPPM. IIUC, the fourth servo outputs a different flavor of combined signal.

if you install a jumper between signal pins of CH3 & CH4, CH1 is delivering 8 channels in CPPM and CH2 RSSI in PWM. For this latter, you will probably need a RC filter (first order low-pass filter) to transform this PWM into analogic. Then this analogic RSSI can feed in general your OSD to display RSSI %

Hi SeByDocKy, in the next few days I will be adding a CC2500 to my Devo10 specifically for FrySky telemetry use, could I be cheeky enough to ask if you have a newer version or a repo/source I can pull and compile from?

We can't have someone writing such useful code not be able to contribute it just because we need documentation.

So I wrote some. You can download it from this thread .

Except for some file names, there's nothing that shouldn't work on Windows. And I dealt with the only one you have to fix.

But yes, I don't do development on Windows, so may well have missed some Windows-specific details. Nothing that someone who has managed to set up a build environment on Windows should have problems with, though. But suggestions for additions to make things easier for windows users are not only welcomed, but encouraged!

Not really a repo, as it doesn't have a .hg subdirectory. Seems that the zip command missed that.

Any chance you could upload one with that? It would make pulling the changes in much, much saner.

Thanks!

I took a crack at creating a patch from from both 4.0.1 & the last official nightly, and I don't think that's where this came from. Not sure how to go about getting them into the team nightlies at this point. Again, the .hg directory would help a lot. If nothing else, knowing where you started from would be a good start.

OK... from the topic I started here>> www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...col-question-s#27754 mwm suggested me to ask here.

To make thing short I'm looking for FrSky+telemetry(RSSI) compatibility for DEVO, likely 12S.

*Im a noob when it comes to software

Is it possible to get FLD-02 working with CC2500 installed DEVO?
FLD-02 uses UART AFAIK

Replied by mwm on topic # of channels on X-series Rx's?
Searching the thread didn't turn up an explicit answer, though some of you have these Rx's. So...

Can we get all 16 channels of SBUS output on the X series Rx's? How about the 12 built into deviation as the maximum for all protocols? I ask because the listings for these Rx's on HK imply you have to have an X-series Tx to use more than 8 channels.

Given that the author of my FC firmware recommends servo input for better flight response and the gimbal I'm using wants control signals on SBUS channes 8-11, the ideal configuration would be an X6R using 5 servo outputs to the FC and SBUS output to the gimbal for channels 8-12. Is that possible with deviation?

Anybody,
About Frsky telemetry ......pkt[5]is RSSI(which measuring units?)..
Do somebody knows..... this values sent by Frsky RX is calcutated value in dbm absolute value(pkt[5]) .....or is the value from RSSI register (integer value representing second complement) or is a calculated value in percentage?

Anybody else having issues binding the d4r-ii to devo 8s with latest nightly build?
I am using the ali express module with shield. everything seems wired and enabled correctly. I jumped pins 5 to 10 and 7 to 9.

Any pointers welcome, am about to do some rewiring according to PB's advice on another thread. If someone got theirs to work with similar circumstance looking forward to hearing what worked for them to bind their 8s with a d4r-ii.

tried jumped pins on ali express pa lna module from 5 to 10, and 7 to 9. no bind.

Tried jumping 9 to 1, and 10 to 6. no bind.

Tried with no jumping. no bind.

I am starting to gather that the 8s and the cc2500 from aliexpress are not a match.

has anybody at all had success on the devo 8s and this particular cc2500?

Could it be a bad CC2500 module?

I dont think so. From what i am gathering, these specific aliexpress cc2500 modules are not working with the devo 8s as I am not the only one with the same binding issue. going to try hunting down another style of cc2500 as that seems to work for others.

I will also try using this aliexpress cc2500 on a 7e I have lying around. I am thinking that its the 8s specifically that is not playing nice with the module... Will try to do the transfer tonight or tomorrow

Jon which specific module do you have? I have used all of the modules listed on the wiki and only in my Devo8s. However, that doesn't mean much. The Frsky protocol is the least tested of the major protocols in Deviation. I've tested it on the 4 receivers I have, and it seems to work for me, but several users have had difficulty. I don't know whether that is due to the module quality-control or something else though.
