I did clone PB's repo but I can dump it and clone yours that way everything goes up to one spot. It only takes a few seconds to do that. I like the idea of stringing the screens together as one image. I will play a bit with Photoshop after pulling images from the emulator. I am going to start with the D10 as that is the TX I have and I can verify all the screens. I would like to also create a menu hierarchy chart, likely in Visio so that all the menu choices appear on one page.

I can pull all the screen shots, you have enough on your plate as it is.

Birdman,
could you do me a favor and aggregate those post in a few? You can edit posts you have written before and in this forum it is usual to mark such additions with "Edit: ".
I would not do this with posts which do hardly belong to each other and not with those longer time ago or which have answers, but in this particular thread here it would have reduced the number probably to 1.

Hi, Thanks for your efforts. When I upgraded from 300 to 310-b11 on a Mode1 Devo8s, I saved then deleted and replaced the file system. I then copied my model1.ini from v300 to the Tx but Left/Right sticks were reversed (Elevator operated Throttle). As a broader question is it possible to transfer models between these versions?
Thanks, David.

You probably just have to set the tx to be Mode1 again, because it changed to the default Mode2 when you overwritten the filesystem...

@FDR - Do you think it might be a good idea to create a separate thread on 3.1 usage?

@RBE2012 - See attached files and tell me if this is what you were thinking.

It is definitely not as easy as I thought trying to stitch these images together. You can see from the Mixer.png that the spacing is off, it was the first one I did and I don't like it but wanted to progress. I may fix it later.

I am only about half way through the menus and I did not include the splash screen since my source has a different screen than the original. I do not like the swirly font, it doesn't fit with the industrial look of the rest of deviation (but that is a discussion for another time).

I think every separate subject should have it's own thread. That's what the threads are for...

Yes, looks good. Maybe some pictures (like the mixer) are too long to fit in the text structure, but we (you!) will see this later when text and pictures are put together. Perhaps they should be shortened, but a decision is necessary for every single case.
When your Devo10-pictures are ready we can walk through the Devo7e menus and see what is different. This will be easier...

As I offered above I can take the pictures for other tx. I will start tomorrow with Devo12 and see how far and fast I come through. You should place this at the end of your list...

Don't know if I can post this here, if not I'll move.

Was playing whit devo10 and latest commit compiled this evening with VM, when the tx rebooted.

I was using my old model.ini files for Dev 3.0, maybe it's why...

I changed to model menu to load a new model, nothing on screen, hit ext or ent (don't remember well) key, reboot...

Is datalog.bin needed to ?

First time ever I had a reboot on the 10.

EDIT: just fell on this :

It's because I never looked into this part of code and it seems to me to need a huge effort - and I am not sure if it is worth this now. I think that PB is the only one who could read the error.txt and he seems to be still absend - so there is no use of the errors.txt at all.

So sorry for the noise.

The files as requested.

I should add that the sources were patched with babay's HiSky patch, just in case.

I remember that i was going from a PPM based model to the model menu.

Did you replace the filesystem completely with the new one? I found that replacing the whole filesystem is essential when upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1, however you may reuse the old model files afterwards.
