Are you using a x-in-1 module or a separate nrf24l01+ ?

Looks like the x-in-1 modules are having issues emulating XN297L at 250kbps ... unfortunately there's nothing much I can do about that.

@SodaAnt similar to what? Are you sure you're writing in the right thread? And what is 10e?

Yeah, that seems like it may be the issue. I do think I have a spare nrf24l01+ board lying around, maybe it is possible to solder that into the tx in addition to the 3 in 1 module, but designate the new pins as the ones for the nrf in the config file?

Yes, meant to quote a post and failed. The binding issues on anything but very low powers that some people were seeing. The 10E is simply the devo 10, but white and a bit higher dBi antenna.

You'll have to disconnect the nrf24 csn pin from the x-in-1 module to connect the one from the separate module instead.

Also, try with a few different transmitter IDs, maybe it will work better with a different set of frequencies, that's worth a try ...

@victzh, interesting post regarding a x-in-1 module, nrf24l01 and a xn297l @ 250kbps protocol:

A possible fix to this issue is to change the two loading capacitors of the crystal to 15pF. I am running some more experiments on Q303 and will come to a conclusion very soon. Anybody having problem using nRF24L01 of 4-in-1 module to emulate XN297L in 250kbps mode can give this a try.

Thanks, I'll add them to Deviation and nrf24-multipro :)

I'll remove pairs with duplicate channel list (quite a few of them for only 15 dumps !) because flying more than 1 E010 with transmitters that are using the same frequencies is an issue: github.com/goebish/nrf24_multipro/issues/17

Interferences have also a good chance to happen with stock transmitters, looks like they're using a fixed list of 16 or so channel sequence ...

But please keep this list somewhere - it may help guessing the algorithm of producing frequency hopping (actually - two frequencies, other two are deduced) from id.

Do we have a consensus of how many tx id / channels pairs are required to add a protocol to Deviation when we've not figured out the algo yet ?
I've a few uncommited protocols because I've only 1-2 tx id ...

I think it is a question of documentation.
If you add a comment about that in the supported model list, every protocol is useful even if only one channel set is known...

I agree with FDR. Also, protocol visibility raises chances of other people providing us with more Id data.

My Devo only binds to the E010 at 10mW and it has a bad delay. Is that because of the 3in1 not being able to simulate whatever you guys said above?

Probably, looks like a fix is to replace the 2 capacitors (size 0402, value 15pF) that are located near the oscillator of the nrf24l01:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/protocol-devel...q303?start=100#56818

But first, try with a few different transmitter ID.

This is also caused by bad antennas. Try another one.
