You've selected the WLH08 format instead of E010, no wonder it doesn't work ;)
Try with the attached one ...

Highlight "MJXq" in Model setup menu, press enter then select E010 sub-format.
Start from a fresh model, I see some stuffs are missing in your .ini ...

I fiddled some more but can't get headless to work properly. When i push left hor. trim button the led on the E010 start blinking indicating headless.
As long as the rear of the quad is facing to me it flies but as soon as i turn the E010 for 180 degree the problem starts. Meaning aileron stick to the right i need a lot of stick travel to get it flying in that direction.

But with barely any aileron stick to the left it's shooting left like a rocket and i need full right stick to stop it and i need to keep the stick almost full right to prevent it going further to the left. The same happens with forward and back movement when the quad is turned 180 degrees in headless mode.
I don't know what i'm doing wrong so i gave up. Perhaps someone can share an ini with a correct working headless mode thanks.

@Alias_Hendrik I think I understand, I should disable dynamic trims while headless is enabled ... I'll fix that.

That means you haven't flashed the latest .dfu and copied the .mod files (you're running an older version of deviation).
Install the latest nightly.

Thanks! i had a slight feeling it had something to do with dyntrim added or substracted in a particular direction. So in that case my ini should be ok ;)
I looked at the ini you posted, and for ch3 i noted scalar and scalar min = 150 should i add that to my ini? Thanks.

Sorry about this.
Do i delete all my files and replace the whole lot with the nightly?

What about the debug zip file?

Thanks

Nightly builds (and test builds) have nothing special, just install it as you installed deviation on your transmitter initially, flash the .dfu then overwrite the .mod files in the protocol folder.
www.deviationtx.com/downloads-new/category/13-nightly-builds

The debug file is only intended to developers, you don't have to worry about it.

@William, if you've a devo 7e with stock MCU then you want the devo7e version, not devo7e-256.

Hmmm, I feel like a support / help thread should be opened for this (already popular) model and keep this thread for development purposes ;)

Installed the build but the E010 refuses to bind. I checked for the correct version on my 7E and it's installed.

I noticed that it wouldn't completely bind with some txid (the protocol is not fully cracked, I'm waiting for more captures ...), try with a different fixed transmitter ID.
Disconnect / reconnect battery on the quad between tries because it get stuck when trying to bind with a non working ID.

No, the MCU is the processor of your transmitter (STM32), if it's unmodified then you need the devo7e version, not 256.
