iRangeX iRX-IR8M 2.4G 8CH Multi-Protocol was created by Fernandez
I thought this new radio needs it's own topic to post feedback

To introduce;
This is after Jumper, the second Open source radio released which is particularly designed for running with DeviationTX firmware and not related to any HF protocol or receiver itself.
Money will be made just on the TX hardware.

A big difference with Frsky openTX Radio, were the Frsky RF link itself is not open standard, neither it supports multiple RF protocols without inserting addional modules.

I hope that this transmitter hardware becomes a great succes, with more than 850 units on preorder, I expect reviews to get in soon after release.
I hope that this one adresses;
-Quality Hall Gimbals
-USB Chargeable liion
-Voice Module
-Nice in hand feel

Not sure if any other person who pre-ordered this multi-protocol TX received this message from BangGood (1/16/2018).

"We’re sorry to inform you that the preorder for the item [iRangeX iRX-IR8M 2.4G 8CH Multi-Protocol Transmitter With PPM S.BUS Mini Receiver] was delayed due to a delay in the manufacturing process."

There's no real ETA given.

I too an excited to see this thing out in the wild.

Got mine today! I haven't bound it to anything yet but so far it's looking pretty good! It feels nice in the hands and it's light.

It looks like iRX-IR8M has four 3-pos switches and two shoulder 2-pos switches:

I need confirmation from Mitchie.

As usual things messed: all switches reversed, AUX4 and AUX5 reversed, stick directions the same as for devo7e-256, batt_critical need to be 3900, since iRX-IR8M can work with 4xAA battery.

Hello, I'm new here!

Unfortunately, I speak very poor English and use Googel for help.

I also ordered this transmitter. I would like to use my Futaba FASST receiver. Unfortunately, I do not quite understand if it is supported. Do I have to order new receivers?

If it is not supported, can you tell me which recipient to buy? He should have full range. I'm flying with FPV Racer.

Unfortunately, my English is too poor to understand if my recipient is supported.

How much mw does the sender have? (Transmission power in mw max)????

OK, now I know the switch config: 3x4 (A, B, C, D) + 2x2 (G, H)
;switch_types: 3x4, 3x3, 3x2, 3x1, 2x8, 2x7, 2x6, 2x5, 2x4, 2x3, 2x2, 2x1, potx2, potx1
;May occur more than once if necessary.
;Add nostock if stock FMOD and HOLD switches have been removed.
  extra-switches = nostock
  extra-switches = 3x4
  extra-switches = 2x2
  extra-switches = potx2

I suspect that iRangeX use "hardware.ini" from T8SG without modification, so "H" and "G" shoulder switches are undefined.

Changing "hardware.ini" doesn't help enable shoulder switches. From mainboard images it looks like they connected to AUX4 and AUX5 pots. I don't know why they needed.

Are you sure? On the mainboard image I definitely see connections and diodes for four 3-pos switches and connections for two 2-pos switches. The original "hardware.ini" enabled four 3-pos switches and two pots (AUX4 and AUX5).

extra-switches = 3x4
extra-switches = potx2

It looks like shoulder switches connected to AUX4 and AUX5 lines. So they havn't names. I don't know for what they used.

For my radio only the switches A & B are 3-way ..... other are two-way

First bug I found ... with the current deviationTX installed (T8SG based from 09-19)... As soon as you open the USB device... then after radio refuses to be turned on .... You need to disconnect the battery plug

My remote control came today too.

But I do not know how I can tie .. it does not work.

The recipient of this is ... I do not know what I have to hire.

www.banggood.com/818CH-Mini-Receiver-Wit...earch&cur_warehouse= CN

How does it work? The receiver flashes .. then I go to bind .. but nothing happens.

Then I bought another receiver.

This one:

hobbyking.com/de_de/frsky-r-xsr-ultra-mi...iver-eu-version.html

It is EU version!

I have FrskyX set .. synonymous EU!

I hold the button and put the battery to it. All lamps light up permanently.

I go on bandage and nothing happens! What am I doing wrong?
